Comedy, Camaraderie, Collaboration
Some Backstory
This troupe (originally known as "Official Sidekick Productions") began in 2019 when we put on Birds and Bats: A Musical Parody. The whole journey started when co-founder Maeve Kelley Baker decided to create a parody song for fun. That song inspired dialogue, and soon a story formed, Birds and Bats: A Parody Musical. Lee Simes and Brett Miller joined in and soon the three of them formed the troupe now known as "The Sidekick Troupe." Over the years the troupe has continued to grow and change - but always with accessibility at our core. We believe theater should and must be accessible, which is why we put all of our shows on our channel for free to be viewed by anyone at any place in the world. We love our supporters, we love our troupe, and we look forward to how we will continue to grow in the future. Thank you for continuing to follow our journey.

Sidekick's Mission
Onstage and off, Sidekick’s mission is simple: to instill the three C’s in every production. Comedy, camaraderie, and collaboration! Sidekick endeavors to invest in the world around itself, such as seeking to better accessibility measures with each show, and by upholding our yearly fundraising initiative, which pledges to donate a percentage of the annual season’s earnings to a charity of choice. To us, the betterment of theatre as a whole begins with focusing on people! Whether it’s a casual reading to a fully staged show, Sidekick Troupe’s goal is not only to bring laughter and community to showgoers, but to every cast, crew, and creative team member aboard.
